Inspired Teaching Fellow
The Inspired Teacher Certification Program is now accepting applications for the 2014 cohort of Inspired Teaching Fellows. Through a 24-month residency program, Inspired Teaching Fellows are prepared for successful and sustainable careers as teachers and changemakers in Washington, DC while earning a DC teaching license and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Director of Strategic Partnerships
Full-time Position Available Immediately
Center for Inspired Teaching, a growing DC-based nonprofit dedicated to improving education by investing in teachers, seeks an experienced educator and project manager to serve as Director of Strategic Partnerships. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will serve as a member the executive team and report to the Executive Director, and will lead the organization’s initiatives to shift the practice of inservice teachers toward inquiry-based instruction, through participant driven professional development and curriculum development in partnership with school districts. Mentors and Course Instructors, Inspired Teacher Certification Program
Center for Inspired Teaching seeks mentors and course instructors to support the Inspired Teacher Certification Program, a 24-month accelerated program that prepares and places exceptional individuals in preK-6th grade classrooms. Because we believe that the most effective teaching is flexible and responsive to student needs, Inspired Teaching’s approach to teacher education invests in teachers’ reflective capacity, their habits of critical thinking, and a ‘do-it-yourself’ disposition. These positions provide excellent opportunities to help support and foster both beginning teachers’ reflective capacity and skills of effective pedagogy.
