Research Assistant Internship

Center for Inspired Teaching, a growing DC-based nonprofit dedicated to social change through improving classroom instruction, seeks a creative individual with exceptional research and writing skills to serve as a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will work with Inspired Teaching’s researchers to carry out internal program evaluation projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to engage in many aspects of the research process, including data-collection, data analysis, and writing. Teacher Mentors, Inspired Teacher Certification Program

Center for Inspired Teaching seeks mentors and course instructors to support the Inspired Teacher Certification Program, a 24-month accelerated program that prepares and places exceptional individuals in preK-6th grade classrooms. Because we believe that the most effective teaching is flexible and responsive to student needs, Inspired Teaching’s approach to teacher education invests in teachers’ reflective capacity, their habits of critical and creative thinking, and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Teaching and Learning Internship, fall 2014

Center for Inspired Teaching is seeking a Teaching and Learning intern to support the Inspired Teacher Certification Program. Interns are key members of Center for Inspired Teaching and this internship provides an abundance of opportunities for learning-by-doing. Interns interface with teachers, school leaders, community partners, stakeholders, and students. Interns work with a team of professionals experienced in education, successful program implementation, communication, development, research, and providing teachers with the skills that will help them succeed. Special Education Teacher, Inspired Teaching Demonstration School

Inspired Teaching special education staff possess the beliefs, skills, and accomplishments that lead all students to achieve at high levels, particularly those students who have been identified as needing supplemental services. To establish a true professional learning community, all adults in the building are considered educators, as they all interact regularly with students. Special education staff must be deeply committed to creating a school that not only provides an excellent education for the student, but that creates an open, trusting learning environment for all educators.
