Inspired Teacher Essay Contest Official Rules

Official question:
How does your teacher inspire you?
Address in 200 words or fewer how your teacher inspires you to:
* build your character,
* commit to your education, or
* find connections between your learning and your life.
Winning entries will provide a strong description of the student's teacher with specific examples.
Official rules:

Student must be a resident of the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.

Family members of employees at Wizards Care, the Washington Wizards, and Center for Inspired Teaching, are not eligible to win but may enter the contest.

Essays must be written by individual students, and not coauthored, about an individual teacher.

Only one entry will be accepted per student. Any additional entries will not be reviewed.

Essay should be no more than 200 words.

Essays must be typed or legibly written. Invented spelling is accepted for elementary category entries.

Complete entries must include both an essay and a registration form. Incomplete entries will not be considered for the contest.

Sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, or destroyed entries.

Essays become the property of contest sponsors and will not be returned.

Entries must be received by April 1, 2009.
