Congratulations to all entrants!

More than 500 students celebrated an area teacher with an essay!

Center for Inspired Teaching and the Washington Wizards proudly recognize the winning students and their teachers.

How does your teacher inspire you?
Address in 200 words or fewer how your teacher inspires you to:
* build your character,
* commit to your education, or
* find connections between your learning and your life.

Each student who enters will receive 2 tickets to the April 13 Washington Wizards game where our three winning essayists and their teachers will receive a prize package at half time!

What are the rules?
Students are asked to submit an original essay answering the question above. Essays must be written by the students, and not coauthored, about an individual teacher.
Winning entries will provide a strong description of the student's teacher with specific examples. Click here for the full list of contest rules.
